Microsoft Windows 2000 MS-DOS Command Line, Phillips & Skagerberg,  Thompson Course technology, 2003

Overview of the Course:

Students will get an in-depth study of how to use the Windows command line interface, including writing small batch scripts.  Students will also learn the Windows equivalent of several MS-DOS commands.

 

Course Objectives

At the completion of this course, with appropriate study, students will be able to:

·            Use the Windows command line interface to perform several tasks

·            Use the Windows operating system to perform several tasks

·            Write simple batch scripts

·            Understand the hierarchical file system


Evaluation:

Final grades are determined through examinations, practical exercises, laboratory assignments, and attendance. Your final grade in the course will be based on the following:

Class attendance and participation         10%

Test#1                                                     30%

Test#2                                                     30%

Labs                                                        30%

                                       Total               100%

 

After your numerical grade has been calculated, your letter grade will be determined as follows:

A  90–100% of the total percentage points possible

B  80–89% of the total percentage points possible

C  70–79% of the total percentage points possible

D  65–69% of the total percentage points possible

F   less than 65% of the total percentage points possible
